About the hub
What is the hub?
The Hub for Housing Justice is a collaborative initiative that aims to transform housing systems by promoting anti-discriminatory, radically democratic, sustainable and caring housing futures.
The hub’s goal is to strengthen the capacity of civil society groups and their networks to influence policymaking, seeking to:
Promote more just and sustainable housing conditions for the world’s majority
Reduce poverty and discrimination
Recognise the needs of migrants and marginalised groups, and
Make communities more resilient to the effects of climate change.
What we do
The Hub for Housing Justice is led by a group of civil society and research organisations that work together to:
Co-design and frame housing justice agendas, by promoting knowledge production and exchanges to generate ideas and strategies that advance housing justice.
Curate and share resources related to housing justice, by identifying and mobilising initiatives, publications and activities to amplify housing justice efforts.
Synchronise and align advocacy efforts and voices to promote housing justice, by strategising, convening and acting together in a range of different international processes and spaces.
Facilitate opportunities for learning, exchanges and action, by promoting grounded activities carried out by the hub’s partners across different contexts and localities.
